Position Summary
Crossroads Community Church is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Senior Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, biblical teaching, vision, and pastoral care for our congregation. The Senior Pastor will lead the church in fulfilling its mission of glorifying God, making disciples, and advancing the Kingdom of God in our community and beyond.
The Senior Pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader of the church, working collaboratively with the Board of Elders to shepherd the congregation, equip believers for ministry, and guide the church’s overall direction and growth.

Primary Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership
● Provide vision, leadership, and direction for the spiritual growth of the congregation.
● Lead the church in accomplishing its mission and ministry objectives.
● Shepherd the congregation through prayer, encouragement, discipleship, and pastoral care.
● Promote unity, biblical accountability, and spiritual maturity within the church body.
Preaching and Teaching
● Serve as the primary preacher and teacher of God’s Word.
● Prepare and deliver biblically sound, relevant, and Spirit-led messages.
● Oversee the teaching ministry of the church and ensure doctrinal integrity.
Leadership and Administration
● Work alongside the Board of Elders in the governance and leadership of the church.
● Provide leadership and oversight to church ministries and ministry leaders.
● Supervise, hire, develop, and when necessary dismiss church staff.
● Participate in strategic planning, ministry development, and church growth initiatives.
Congregational Care
● Provide pastoral counseling, visitation, and care for members and attendees.
● Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, communion services, and other pastoral functions.
● Foster meaningful relationships throughout the congregation and community.
Community Engagement
● Represent Crossroads Community Church within the local community.
● Encourage outreach, evangelism, missions, and community service.
● Build relationships that advance the church’s ministry impact.
Qualifications
● A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal relationship with Him.
● Ordained or credentialed minister in good standing, preferably with the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana), or willing to pursue credentialing.
● Demonstrated calling to pastoral ministry.
● Proven experience in preaching, teaching, leadership, and disciple-making.
● Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
● Commitment to biblical authority and the mission, values, and beliefs of Crossroads Community Church.
● Ability to lead collaboratively with church elders, staff, and volunteers.
● A life that reflects the biblical qualifications for church leadership as outlined in Scripture.
Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
● Seminary or graduate theological training preferred.
● Previous experience serving as a Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, or comparable ministry leadership role.

Accountability
The Senior Pastor is accountable to the Board of Elders and serves as the spiritual leader of Crossroads Community Church in accordance with the church’s bylaws and mission.
